Capital Projects
Logan City Public Works has a busy 2024 with lots of City improvements underway. The projects Public Works oversees range from utility improvements (water, sewer, storm drain), sidewalk projects, and major road reconstruction. Below is a partial list of only the more noticeable projects happening this summer. This list does not include private developments, private projects, or projects outside Logan City’s jurisdiction (UDOT, Cache County, or other municipalities).
1000 NORTH - 50 East to 250 West
Where: 1000 North from 50 East (PetsSmart) to 250 West. Also included 50 West to Bridgerland Park (behind Walgreens).
When: April 2024 through December 2024
Scope: 1000 North between 50 East and 250 West will be widened to accommodate more traffic. A traffic signal will be installed at 1000 North 200 West. New water and stormdrain pipes will be installed while the roadwork is underway. Expect road closures for the duration of the project.

1200 EAST - Roundabouts
Where: 1200 East from 700 North to 1100 North
When: May 2024 through Spring 2025
Scope: Constructing two new roundabouts at 1000 North and 800 North on 1200 East. Water utilities will also be upgraded while the roadwork is underway. Expect road closures for the duration of the project.

When: April through Fall 2024
Scope: Removal and installation of larger water pipes under 200 North.

Google began work last fall to install fiber optic internet infrastructure to Logan City residents. This is NOT a Logan City sponsored project. Google is a private contractor permitted to work in Logan's roads. Google is covering all associated costs and residents can decide to use Google as an internet provider at their own choosing. Google will be working to install fiber in all City streets over the next few years.
